Library/Application Support/Serviio/bin/serviio. I could TRY to connect - but it wouldn't accept the login/pass no matter what was tried - including changing the password and setting up a whole new user for just the Mac One day we noticed one of my co-workers file dates were getting changed when he moved something from his PC to the windows server share drive. after the installation the root user has no passwort so set the passwort in terminal with mysql shell/client. However, no one is able to do that: when connecting via AFP for the first time, they enter their temporary password and are asked to change it, but the form does not accept any value. but for a successful connection with MySQL Benchmark or an other client you have to know more. I set up a bunch of users on my OS X Server 3 (Mavericks) requesting they reset the temporary password I gave them. Ive tested the diagnostics and it confirms that my mac can connect to the network, but it cannot. now you know your port and where you can configure your server(in the terminal with mysql shell/client).

When the Serviio LaunchDaemon is loaded on startup, it uses Java for Mac OS X. Some times your provider may need to change portal/DNS URLs in order to stay afloat.

If you attempt to start the Serviio-Console.app on Mac OS X, you may receive a console message the Serviio server is not running.
